The Hollywood TV Experience is the brainchild of Tommy Burke, who has more than 25 years of experience in television and film production, and currently serves as First Assistant Director on Chicago PD.
The Hollywood TV Experience centers around a retreat, which replicates the cycle of a television episode and takes place on an actual stage, gives ordinary people a true-to-life Hollywood television experience.
For their role in their TV episode debut, actors receive a call sheet (this is the same document used on thousands of sets), a call time, and a part in a fast paced crime drama that has twist and turns. Actors come prepared to work. And work hard. This is not a walk-on part. It’s a serious and important role. Without you, there is no show.
The experience includes a table read, acting exercises, hair and makeup, photo ops, and a professional DVD of their Hollywood TV debut. Attendees will dine with the stars, hear industry gossip, gather lots of TV swag, and more.
Plus, the mission is to help others. A portion of the proceeds goes to elderly veteran actors who need support. On the last day of the camp, we invite children with serious illnesses to the set, so they can have their own TV star experience.
